Come and enjoy "Empire for Sale" over the weekend of 24th & 25th November at the Abbey House Museum in Leeds (Abbey House Museum, Abbey Walk, Abbey Road, Kirkstall, Leeds, LS5 3EH). Experience the cobbles beneath your feet at our Victorian Market. Marvel at how persuasive techniques were used in Victorian advertising, propaganda and marketing in the museum's exhibition. Try not to get trapped in our Escape Room games and explore the museum for clues to complete our Treasure Hunt. Engage in talks or take part in workshops where you can create your own Victorian advert or create a comic strip for the newspapers of the past. A slight mishap with a shrink ray means we now have miniature teapot racing; or try your hand at tea-duelling. Evenings are full too.
